I was under Dr. Mata’s care for a bit over 3 months after I suffered whiplash and headaches from an automobile accident. I visited him every week for quick, pain-free adjustment. I am so grateful that I went to Dr. Mata for my back problems. I had suffered with mid and lower back pain for some time. The pain was getting worse and was affecting my life everyday. One day during my walk I noticed there was a Chiropractor near my home. Their beautiful spanish tile sign caught my attention, it has to be the nicest sighn in Covina. Since I was suffering from neck and upper back pain I decided to try his treatment. So now I'm hooked on the benefits of chiropractic adjustments. I have been in pain ever since I was in an accident at the age of 15 and it has gotten progressively worse over time. I had only been to medical doctors and put off going to a chiropractor until one day the pain was so severe that I couldn't stand it; so my parents took me to Covina chiropractic. My first visit was for extreme lower back pain, with shooting pains down the left leg from time to time. By the third visit I was nearly pain free - plus a bonus! In the third visit a neck adjustment was made, and for the first time in nearly 20 years I had full range of motion in my neck, able to turn my head fully in both directions. Not being able to turn my head properly was seriously affecting my driving.

I was not a chiropractic believer and really thought I would just give them a try. I have dealt with upper back pain for years. Within 2 visits I was feeling 75% better and by 3 weeks of visits I enjoy being pain free for this first time in more years than I can remember. In addition I recently had a problem with my ankle and my general practitioner put me on high doses of Ibuprophen. Dr. Velez took one look at it, said it was out of place and in one visit it was fixed without needing any medication.
